Izzy Lindqwister's debut EP, “Pyjama Party”, was released on London/Paris based label Smoky Carrot Records in November 2012. Her soulful and powerful voice, natural showmanship and unique personality earned her collaborations with the likes of Cornershop, Mustang, Adam & The Ants’ Chris Constantinou (SSG) and Towerbrown.
As the front-woman of London based Psychedelic trio Rodeo Massacre, she sold out 7” singles, collected thousands of hits on Youtube and put out an LP, gaining the attention of the likes of Artrocker, Uncut, Q Magazine, Elle and Les Inrockuptibles. In 2010 she relocated to Paris and started focusing on her solo career. There she cooked her Soul and Psychedelic roots with new Pop spices and got some dandy Parisian folks on board. Originally from Stockholm, Sweden, she started singing in church choirs from a young age and as a teenager she discovered Blues, Soul and Rock & Roll through Johnny Thunders’ guitarist Stevie Klasson, of whom she says: “he would usually invite me to guest at one of his shows in small Stockholm Jazz venues. Being too young to get into that sort of places I had to wait in the car and snake in via the side door just to sing a song or two.” Izzy takes inspiration from the likes of Susan Cadogan, Etta James, Billie Holiday and Cat Power.
