Weltklang have become known for their pioneering work in the area of the electronic music. Their first publication, the futuristic-scanty Synth monster "native country VEB", won over critics with its decisive influence on the development of later music styles such as Minimally Wave, EBM and Detroit Techno.

After ending for long term creative break in the tape - Thomas Voburka and René Steuns - since 2005, have been more active than ever before. After various re-publications as well as Remixes for international Acts as for example Pay-out, alter ego, Asmodeus X or Sonnenbrand, their music has spread across the world to places like Russia, Belgium and Sweden.
