Reina republicana was born in Pamplona at the end of 2009 when Iñigo Maya, Alberto Gurbindo, Amaia Tirapu and Israel Medina decided to join efforts in a new project.
After a few months of tests and with a few songs written, Banin Fraile (Los Planetas) encouraged to the group to record an EP in El Refugio Antiaéreo.
In September, 2010 the line up was completed by Iván Guzmán's on keyboards and guitar.
The sound of the band is outlined along these songs: oneiric letters, loving tragedies dressed in atmospheric sounds, sonic depth and powerful guitars. Songs that leave a door opened for the interpretation and it displaces the listener towards landscapes with an opened door.
