Biography

Birmingham indie-pop outfit Swim Deep first came to our attention back in 2012, with huge tunes such as 'King City' and 'She Changes The Weather', the live performances for which you can watch in the videos above.

The young band have since reemerged, moving beyond a beach-grunge, surf-rock sound, to much more electronic, psychedelic sounds - a nod to late eighties Manchester with New Order, Happy Mondays, and even The Beloved, as well drawing comparisons to smaller, emerging, acid-house-inspired contemporaries such as Real Lies and Jam City.

The band unveiled 'To My Brother' earlier this year, and have now put out the video to new track ‘One Great Song And I Could Change The World’; a blissful psychedelic pop that strides into an all embracing sea of euphoria.

Whilst the addition of touring member and multi-instrumentalist James Balmont to their ranks has proved a masterstroke bolstering both creatively and visually, the band have of course retained their distinctly Swim Deep 'feel good vibe' and characteristic upbeat pop melodies.

The band is set to release their second album later this year, following on from critically acclaimed debut album Where The Heaven Are We which was released in July 2013 and reached Number 20 in the UK charts.

Swim Deep will perform at Dot to Dot Festival 2015.
