Biography
Edinburgh 3-piece Discopolis broke through in 2011 after being selected to headline T in the Park's T Break Stage after just 2 live performances. That led to debut single 'Lofty Ambitions' making the Radio 1 playlist through BBC Introducing, a Japan-only album, remixing for The Wombats and playing Reading and Leeds Festivals, headlining gigs in Europe and supporting Metronomy and The Futureheads.
They ended the year playing with Friendly Fires and Wild Beasts at Edinburgh's Hogmanay. They have built on this success in 2012 with gigs with Django Django and Simian Mobile Disco, had tracks featured on BBC drama Lip Service and released second single 'Zenithobia' and a free Summer Mixtape through www.thisisdiscopolis.com
