In the spring of 2009, all members of The Bland Band were travelling abroad. By coinsidence they met in Sydney, where they formed a little group and started playing music in the streets. After weeks of intense playing, they went back home to Sweden where they all moved, to live together in a house in Uppsala. The basement became a rehearsal, and later on a studio.
On the swedish festival Peace and love in 2011, the band met the film company Papercut Film during a campsite performance. They were offered to record a music video which later on resulted in their first release "Pålsboda Jam".
After this, all the members fell in love with writing and recording music, and they all put aside their college studies to commit to The Bland Band.
