The story of The Shy Lips began with a handshake somewhere in Europe. Thoose hands belonged to Victor Pettersson and Adam Benrahmoun, the two drifters had decided to start a band. Simply because their love of music and lack of other goals in life.
After years abroad, they decided to return back to the motherland and got an apartament in the suburbs, outside of Gothenburg, were Adam's brother, Jonas Benrahmoun joined them. There they started from scratch. Making music and rehearsing for their first gigs on open mic nights and cafes all around Gothenburg.
After some months searching for a drummer to make the band complete. They found Anton Ekedahl who brought his friend, guitarist Alex Lisinski to jam with them. The Shy Lips were formed. Two months after that they went to record their first EP.
And now, here they are. Spring is in the air. So is their music.
Soon summer will come out to play. And so will The Shy Lips. With new material, with more shows.
