«Heart Island» has sand in the groove and shades of green from folk influences. It´s many worlds are washed to dark bass depths by a relevant sea of electronic waves. At times a voice strays onto the island and underlines the varying sombre moods which cause the individual multifaceted rhythms to appear highly versatile. Remaining are memorable visual soundscapes.
«Heart Island» is the solo project of drummer and producer Christian Grochau which, from time to time, is supported by the inspiring voices of Marie-Sophie Kanske (Sea of Love) and Richard Fritzsche (Trains on Fire). This island is a hideaway that seems to combine any musical influence Christian's head and instinct have ever heard and felt.
