Biography
Having congregated in london, swedish/brazilian duo We Walk on Ice have set about creating a crystal clear pop music that belies their numbers. Ethereal female vocals set against a backdrop of measured and evocative production. Avoiding the easy synth-pop manifestations of the girl/boy duo, We Walk on Ice offer something deeper and fuller: whilst still in the pop vein there's pleasing dashes of cinematic colour and as always a passionate vocal performance that breaks any self-consious cool factor. Inflections of female powerhouses like mid-period pj harvey only help matters.
A relentlessly hardworking band, their self-released debut 7" single “One Fine Day Part II” is catchy as hell and came out on own label Linnea-Louise Records in March 2012. Check out the accompanying video below which, true to the band’s work ethic was produced with only an iPhone and a laptop.
