Princess Julia
Biography
As part of the clubbing scene for over 30 years Princess Julia continues to dj at various party's and events both in London and on a global scale. Her involvement with seminal clubs over the years, The Blitz, Taboo, Kinky Gerlinky, The Cock, Boombox and Ponystep (to name just a few) have seen her continue to be recognized as a leading figure on the scene. 2011 saw her year guest spot at Vintage at Southbank, Le Baron with regular spots at eastend clubs and bars such as The George & Dragon, East Bloc, Dalston Superstore and Vogue Fabrics.
Combining her energy between djing Princess Julia is currently Music Editor at iD magazine, writing about and sourcing music. She also contributes to GQ Style, QX International with a weekly column and Ponystep magazine with regular interviews.
She is also involved in the art scene and has been photographed by artist Wolfgang Tillmans, painted by Ben Ashton and appeared in film and video with cameo roles in artist Nathaniel Mellors triptych. 2011 also saw Princess Julia modeling in Ilamasqua's latest make up campaign and H&M magazine.
