Kieran Hebden AKA Four Tet is a relentless production powerhouse. Alongside his own catalogue of material, he has remixed for the likes of Radiohead, Caribou, Bonobo, Matthew Dear and Battles. Taken from the back end of his mix on the forthcoming Fabriclive59 album, he intends to release "Locked" as a single, good news for all you music purists out there.

Distinguished for acquiring formerly acclaimed tracks from the industries most notable artists, Kieran has hailed from an education that has laid birth to Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard (Hot Chip) and the entirity of the xx, all from a school famed for it's excellence in language. Receiving a record contract at the tender age of fifteen with former classmates under the band 'Fridge', he has had all the background experience to go it alone. Perhaps the choice in which to go solo was down to disagreement between fellow band members, or it could be a decision that if you don't want to compromise your own artistic integrity, then what choice do you have but to take matters into your own hand.

Clearly beyond a defined genre, Kieran moulds synth pan flute melodies over a progressive and constantly evolving drum loop. The foundation of which has elements of Dub step, mellowing what could be easily remixed into a dance anthem. By interjecting lighter notes, it accentuates a tangibility that resonates with each listener individually. This is a piece for all seasons, readily adaptable and one that Kieran will no doubt shape and mould through time. Not that it needs to, we like it just the way it is.
