PARLOPHONE TO CELEBRATE RSD WITH UNIQUE POP-UP CLUB
In celebration of this year’s Record Store Day, Parlophone Records (and its imprint label, Regal) will be opening a pop-up club in the heart of West London’s famous Portobello Rd., Notting Hill.
The Record Store Day only event, in association with Fred Perry Subculture, will be an afternoon and evening of music and drinks with some familiar friends and family of Parlophone Records. DJ’s will be showcasing the latest talent from the Regal and Parlophone labels, as well as the best selections from the Record Store Day vinyl releases. This year’s series includes limited vinyl by the likes of: Gorillaz, Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi, Beck & Bat for Lashes and Tinie Tempah.
A limited number of entry wristbands will be available on Saturday at the Rough Trade West shop on Talbot Rd. for anyone that purchases a Parlophone or Regal Record Store Day vinyl. Purchasers can then come down and play the records they have bought and enjoy the afternoon with the label.
Nigel House, Rough Trade West store manager: “We all look forward to RSD so much – it’s a great day with bands playing, shoppers shopping and just showing that there is life in the old dog yet.”
