Southampton's Thomas Tantrum, caused a flicker across the collective musical consciousness of the nation, in 2008, when Lily Allen gave their shouty Bis-like indie power pop her public approval. Now upping their game a bit, Thomas Tantrum appear to have refined their sound, with vocalist Megan Thomas' vocals, in particular, sounding like an early Gwen Stefani channeling the spirit of Lulu. They've added a new drummer too. You can judge for yourself in their charming little fairground themed video for new single "Sleep", (released 27 March), below.
There's also a nice remix by RAC that you can listen to and download (see below). Their second album is planned for a Summer release, with another single in the pipelines too.
