For the love of...
February 2009

If you’re looking for some new dates to liven up your gig diary this Spring, or if the pins in your musical map are looking a little sparse around the North West of England, then For the Love of... is a new event showcasing new talent in Liverpool.

The first event is on Saturday 28th February, at Seel Street’s Zanzibar, running all from 1pm – 1am.

The line up so far includes:
Peter and the Wolf
Eugene McGuiness
Dead Cities (Ex Alterkicks)
Slopes
John Mullin
Lisa Dalton
Aspen Grove
Super-Cannes
The Vanities

There will also be DJs, visuals and a raffle with prizes including clothing from Fred Perry and equipment from Dolphin Music.

A donation of £1 on the door is all they ask, with proceeds going to C.A.L.M. (Campaign Against Living Miserably), the charity helping men that fall into the 15 – 35 year old age bracket, that may be at risk of falling prey to suicide.

Further events are planned for the coming year, with the possibility of an open-air festival in the Summer.
