Stanley Brinks
January 2009

Formerly known as André Herman Düne, one third of The Herman Düne Trio, Andre left the band back in 2006, moved to Berlin, and changed his name to Stanley Brinks.

Since then he has released six full-length albums, and played shows all over Europe. It is rumoured that he is once again returning to the UK for a tour in the summertime, which I strongly advise you to catch. His shows, which sound fairly different to his recorded output, vary from a cappella performance with a saxophone or guitar, or forming an impromptu band, just for the night, with assorted musicians plucked from the other bands on that night’s billing, who will completely improvise a backing for him to sing over.

Never a dull moment.
