Joe Lean & The Jing Jang Jong ditch album

Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong have taken the drastic decision to scrap/recycle their debut album, stating that it was recorded as a contractual obligation after signing to Vertigo. The album was apparently hindered by delays, pushing its planned release back 10 months after it was recorded.
The Band announced the news to their fans via their Myspace:
“Although it's a good record and we're all proud of it, we know that after the amount of playing we have done since we made it, we can create a record that is much better, more exciting, more representative of our sound and generally more delightful to listen to.”
