One Step Beyond – reissued
It’s almost thirty years to the day that Madness released their third single “My Girl” from their debut album “One Step Beyond”. The track would mark the start of an era, with the band opening the first Top Of The Pops of the 1980s with the song.
The Album would go on to spend a year in the Top Forty, and the videos that accompanied the singles became embedded in the popular culture of the time.
Conveniently, for Madness, and their fans, this Christmas, the album has just been reissued. The double CD features the original album, along with Peel Sessions from the period and the much-loved videos for “The Prince”, “My Girl”, “Night Boat To Cairo” and “One Step Beyond”.
