The 45s

  1. 1. It Ain't Over

  2. 2. Devil of a Woman

  1. 1. I Can Only Give You Everything

The 45s were formed in Carlisle in the spring of 2012 when fifteen year old school friends James Green (Vocals/Harmonica), Joe Wyatt (Bass/Vocals) & Bailey Claringbold (Drums) met a new student named Tom Hamilton (Guitar/Vocals). Tom began to share his passion for the Blues and British R & B, and that was the beginning…

A successful first two years together now sees them playing shows up and down the country with ‘sold-out’ signs appearing. They’ve released a double A side single of two original songs, Devil Of A Woman and It Ain't Over and a 4-track EP of covers dedicated to Eddie & The Hot Rods guitarist Dave Higgs who passed away at the end of 2013 just as the 45s were headlining in his hometown.

They’ve been joined on stage by original Doctor Feelgood members Sparko and Wilko Johnson, who declared: ‘The 45s are my favourite band’. NME declared that The 45s are 'Carlisle's wunderkinds’; going on to say: 'the suited and booted 45s put in a storming set consisting of their own songs and R&B covers. It's sweaty, raw and loud and the Canvey crowd loved it!' Blues magazine has recently called them ‘The Yardbirds illegitimate kiddies’ and described ‘the snarling intensity’ of their live set.

Word is quickly spreading about the band and their itinerary is filling up with new gigs and summer festivals.
