Vandoinmessico
Biography
Vadoinmessico are a 5 piece band from several corners of the Earth residing in London and playing nostalgic, psychedelic folk-pop. Giorgio (from Italy) and Salvador (from Mexico) started the band and were soon joined by banjo player Stefan (from Austria) and Alessandro (also Italian), and their English drummer Joe. They have recorded and produced their debut album ‘Archaeology of The Future’ themselves, with some additional mixing by mix engineer Craig Silvey (Arcade Fire, Portishead, R.E.M. etc) and are now ready to enchant the world with their exceptional songs.
The band recently recorded a Maida Vale session for Huw Stephens, who also chose them as one to watch in his NME Radar feature in April. Mary Anne Hobbs, John Kennedy and Gary Crowley have all given the band solid support to date. A Crystal Fighters remix of previous single 'Teeo' went to No.1 on the Hype Machine / Twitter charts. The band has supported Anna Calvi, Crystal Fighters, Clock Opera and more.
Catch Vadoinmessico at the XFM Exposure night at The Barfly on Wednesday 9th May - or at one of the many festivals they are doing over the Summer, Dot To Dot, WOMAD, Latitude, Leylines and more.
