Biography
September 06
i am xRAY (a love song)... and... outerregions (a hymn to the beyond) are the first tunes belched out by the machine for the world to hear. They are the grimy brainchildren of cramped bedroom sessions... an age ago.
Further down the line, we will reveal glorious vibrations born of the James Ford Laboratory. Injected with analogue fun, TheGrid will come alive! We have constructed TMB HQ in Liverpool. Here we will place the machine, and sing to it our album!
Down with miserable retroism, hurray for the beautiful machine!

Reviews
Guitars and synths appear to be on the verge of some major ressurection, with bands like (colonopenbracket), Klaxons and now To My Boy all heavily toying with the idea. The Grid, which is only the second for this hotly tipped twosome, is where frantic new-wave meets Kraftwerk electronica. Jagged guitars clash with prehistoric 8-bit sound effects as a quivering vocal repeats a hypnotic mantra of "I wonder, are you happy? I'd like it, if you were happy", like a Germanic Ian Curtis. It's hard to tell if a band's first album will live up to early praise after just a handful of records. But as long as they keep throwing out singles this great in the meantime, a rising fanbase is sure to follow.
